Songs Playing in Eclipse Scenes / Credits

Now that most of you Twi-hards have probably watched the Eclipse movie (twice even?), I'm sure a lot of you are wondering which songs on the Eclipse OST were played on which Eclipse movie scene, like "What song was played in the bed / kissing scene when Edward proposed to Bella?" or "What was that song that was playing during the graduation party?". Wonder no further. I've compiled a list of corresponding songs for each scene.

To listen to snippets of the MP3s, play this:

1. "Eclipse (All Yours)" by Metric
This main Eclipse theme song played in various scenes as an instrumental version (like in the last scene that featured the meadow). The actual version of this song was played during the credits.

2. "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)" by Muse
Stephenie Meyers has always been a fan of Muse, so it wasn't surprising that a Muse song was again played in Eclipse. This particular tune was played during the graduation party held at the Cullen house.

3. "Ours" by The Bravery
You heard this song also during the graduation party. This was the first music that you would have heard, prior to the Muse tune above.

4. "Heavy in your Arms" by Florence + The Machine
Also played during the credits.

And the bed / proposal scene song of Edward and Bella is...

5. "My Love" by Sia
Where we saw a bit of "action" going on between Bella and Edward. Bella attempts to seduce the vampire, but he insists upon his old-fashioned gentleman ways and proposes to Bella. When Bella says yes, he sweeps her off the bed. You can listen to it here:

6. "Atlas" by Fan Farlo
Plays during the car ride, when Edward drops Bella off at the treaty line between La Push and Forks to bring her to Jacob.

7. "Chop and Change" by The Black Keys
This music is heard in the opening scene of the movie when Riley leaves the bar and is bitten / changed by vengeful vampire, Victoria.

8. "Rolling in on a Burning Tire" by The Dead Weather
Played during the conversation between Victoria and Riley, where Victoria explains why she won't be joining in on the Newborn fight.

9. "Let's Get Lost" by Beck and Bat for Lashes
Bella reads a letter from Jacob and attempts to visit him in La Push, only to find out that Edward has sabotaged her truck.

10. "Jonathon Low" by Vampire Weekend
How appropriate is it for Vampire Weekend to play a song for a vampire movie? Jacob takes Bella to Emily's cabin on a bike when you hear this song.

11. "With You in My Head" by Unkle
This is the kickass scene where Jasper Hale was training the Cullens and the wolves how to kill those pesky newborns for the upcoming epic battle. Go Jasper!

12. "A Million Miles an Hour" by Eastern Conference Champions
In this scene, Edward and Bella arrive at the school parking lot and run into Jacob Black looking mighty fine on his motorbike.

13. "Life on Earth" by Band of Horses
This is the scene where Edward tells Bella, "You'll always be my Bella""

14. "What Part of Forever" by Cee Lo Green
Another credits music filler

15. "Jacob's Theme" by Howard Shore
This plays during the (you guessed it right) Jacob-centric scenes. It was played:
1. When Jacob and Bella argue in his garage, and the fiery werewolf tells her she would be better off dead than as a vampire
2. When Jacob and Bella share a kiss (Bella and Jacob fans loved this for sure!)

BONUS TRACKS:
16. "How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep" by Bombay Bicycle Club
Cafeteria scene where Bella, Edward, and Bella's human friends think of ideas for Jessica's speech.

17. "The Line" by Battles
I don't think this was played during the movie. I could be wrong though. Comment if you can remember.

*Update*: According to someone who commented on the blog, The Line played in "Edward's car as he sped away after dropping Bella with Jacob". Thanks anonymous commenter! :)

The deluxe Eclipse OST includes the bonus tracks plus a fold-out poster:

Thank you so much for this, I've been wondering what song was playing during the Edward / Bella proposal make out scene. Was too giddy about that particular Eclipse scene to concentrate on the lyrics of the song so I couldn't search what the title of the song was haha :P Love the song!

Thank you so much for this site and your efforts! I saw the movie for the second time this weekend and I think, but I'm not positive, that The Line is the song playing in Edward's car as he speeds away after dropping Bella with Jacob. (-:

Wow, so long since I've commented here! Amy, you have to know the news I have from Brazil.

This new writer of ours called Eduardo Spohr wrote a spectacular book called The Battle of the Apocalypse.

I think it'll be a mass success out of Brazil as much as it have been around here. It's about an angelical fight that leads to the Armaggedon. And the cover is so pretty too, a "xuxu", as we call here *.*

The books are just disapearing from the bookstores.
Have you heard of it yet?

I wrote a post about it and I'm translating step by step. The link for my post is: http://coracaoalheio-terraqueninguemhabita.blogspot.com/2010/09/batalha-do-apocalipse.html

Kisses!!

Sounds very interesting! I'll be sure to check that out! :) I hope it's not too scary. Just saw the cover on your blog, and wow, it does look amazing!

And it is amazing, Amy - I'm practically addicted to that book: it's smart, full of history and legends and heroes and action! hehehe

Answering to your question, I can't translate the whole book for posting on the blog, there are more than 500 pages and I don't think it's allowed XD

One thing I can say though: you certainly won't regret reading it.

But anyway! I hope it can be sold in other countries as soon as 2011 starts. Eduardo is very talented, I wish he can make you all fall in love too =D

XoXo
